# Background

Outer Ring has been in development for 3 years. Firstly thought of as a normal MMO, but **redesigned to allow blockchain integration**. 

What started with a team of 6 people working from Pamplona is now a multidisciplinary team of more than 103 people working from different places in Europe. 

After raising 14 million dollars in 3 different financial rounds, **the team has the resources to hire experienced staff coming from the Game Development industry.** Some of the places our team has worked with are Ubisoft, EA, Gameloft, 2K, Sumo Digital, or Dentsu.
